Born in Aiken S.C. in 1953 to David W. and Edna Abney where I grew up in the construction industry and learned the building trade from my father who was well known throughout the residential construction and remodeling industry. Married to my wife Kathy for 25 years and together we have two children who now attend college. We’ve lived in Woodside for 18 years and have seen the area grow into an even more beautiful and desirable place to live.
I attended high school at St. Angela Academy of Aiken and after high school I attended college at The Citadel where I majored in civil engineering. After college I owned a residential framing business and began contracting custom homes in the mid 1980’s. I’ve built numerous homes in Woodside and other surrounding neighborhoods.
I began working for Carolina Signature Homes on January 1 , 2006 and formed the custom home division of CSH known as Exclusive Homes By David Abney. I have 35 years of experience in the construction industry with experience that ranges from high-end remodeling to award winning custom homes. My goal for Exclusive Homes by David Abney is to give each customer’s project the amount of personal time and energy that is needed to create as perfect a home as possible.
